Apple Intelligence’s Image Playground tool stands out for its level of customization!
Apple Music is about to receive a major update that will allow users to create custom playlist artworkusing Apple’s artificial intelligence technology, introduced as Apple Intelligence. This new feature will be integrated into the app with the launch of iOS 18, scheduled for this fall.
As confirmed in the beta version of iOS 18.4, released this week, There are references to a feature called Image Playgroundan Apple Intelligence tool introduced at WWDC 2024. This feature will apparently be available when editing a playlist.
Apple Music will allow you to personalize playlists like never before, thanks to AI
Image Playground allows users to generate AI-powered images using text commands. While the app doesn’t offer the option to create photorealistic images, it can generate a variety of styles such as animations, illustrations and sketches.
Apple Music is expected to leverage Image Playground to ask users how they want their playlist cover art to look and, based on your response, generate several options to choose from.
Apple Music already offered a similar tool in iOS 17.1, which featured a library of artwork for users to customize their playlists. But, Apple Intelligence integration takes this feature to a new level, offering a greater degree of customization and creativity.
Since the rise of AI-based tools in 2023, several apps have focused on creating images, generated from text. So it will be interesting to see how different Apple’s approach is. Just yesterday, Microsoft responded to Apple Intelligence’s Image Playground feature with Microsoft Designer.
During the presentation of Apple Intelligence at WWDC24, The company demonstrated the Image Playground feature, which allowed users to appreciate the result of creating animations, sketches or illustrations, surprising with the level of detailto such an extent that you can know what our friends or family are like and create an image based on their physique.
In the case of Apple Music It will be interesting to see how human and AI creativity come together to bring out all the ideas, styles and inspiration that go into a playlist.
Apple Music is available for free on the App StoreThe iOS 18 beta is now available to developers and users registered in the public beta program.
