For some, a beautiful car is in all respects a work of art. This is also the case for the writer, and so I found the setting of the MAXXI in Rome, the National Museum of the Arts of the 21st Century, perfect for the Roman presentation of the new Bentley Continental GT.
The model that has marked the modern history of Bentley has reached its fourth generation and, on the occasion of its presentation in the heart of the capital, Bentley Roma celebrated one year of activity.
Results beyond expectations for Bentley Roma
Inaugurated in September 2023, the show is the fourth in Italy after Milan, Padua and Florence). The Bentley Roma structure is part of the IWR group (the former Italwagen) and is located in via della Magliana, behind the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, also known as the “square Colosseum” of Eur.
“With the new Bentley Continental GT we celebrate the beginning of a new historical period,” said Valentina De Paolis, CEO of Bentley Roma and the IWR Automotive group. “The farewell to the legendary 12-cylinder engine, introduced for the first time in 2003 on the Continental GT, represents a turning point towards the hybrid and towards a future in line with the Beyond100 strategy, which will lead Bentley to be a world leader in sustainable luxury mobility”.
De Paolis also underlined the change in the direction of the IWR Automotive group, with a now exclusive focus on premium and luxury brands. A choice strengthened by the results achieved, with 16 cars Bentleys only sold in the first year.

At the same time as the coupé, also the GTCi.e. the cabriolet version, was presented. The news for the Crewe company, however, is not over: the board has just announced the Beyond100+ program and anticipated what will be the nature of the first electric winged B, i.e. an SUV of relatively compact dimensions which has the ambition to attract a new clientele.
