According to Apple’s announcement, the first cars fully integrated with the new version of CarPlay were to appear on the market in 2024. There’s not much time left until the end of the year.
Meanwhile, information about the above-mentioned solution has appeared in the database of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). Aaron Perris shared graphics indicating that the new version of CarPlay will be available, among others, in Audi cars. Although the sketches do not present any new or additional information, they nevertheless indicate that Apple is still working on implementing this solution.
It is worth recalling that new CarPlay icons were found in the iOS 18.2 code.
From CarPlay you will be able to control, among others, the sound system, heating and air conditioning. Additionally, users will have specially designed widgets at their disposal. Information about the trip, fuel level and speed will also be displayed.
