A recent death at Rigshospitalet can be linked to the hospital’s problems with mould.
That’s what Berlingske writes.
The newspaper refers to a briefing sent from the hospital to the regional council in the Capital Region on 20 November.
This is an adult and now deceased patient who has been diagnosed with the mold fungus Aspergillus flavus, says the briefing on the Rigshospitalet website.
The fungus is of the special type that has previously been linked to the death of an 11-year-old boy.
The boy was admitted to Rigshospitalet with leukemia.
So far, Aspergillus flavus has only been detected in the South Wing of Rigshospitalet, where the adult patient has not been during his hospitalization, the hospital writes in the briefing.

The now deceased patient was hospitalized with a critical illness. The patient received immunosuppressive treatment.
It is not known how the patient became infected with the fungus, writes the hospital.
