DETAILED PROGRAM:

HyCut: hydrogen cutting – Green revolution in cutting technology
Lecturer: Gábor Halász, welding engineer, Messer Hungarogáz Kft.

The lecture will discuss the rediscovery of hydrogen and the possibilities of decarbonization in autogen technology. The properties of different combustion gases are compared, in connection with the cuts made with them, CO2NOX, as well as the emission values of the smoke particles, as well as the evolution of the hardness values and the amount of diffusible hydrogen. The presentation also covers the cutting costs and presents some interesting examples from the autogenous applications of hydrogen.

Practical experiences of hydrogen cutting in a real operating environment – facts, data, best practices – round table discussion
Participants: Gábor Halász (Messer Hungarogáz Kft.), Tamás Törköly (technical director, MVM OVIT Zrt. Göd) and János Kuti (department engineer, Óbuda University)

The participants share their own practical experiences with hydrogen cutting. In the case of cuts with hydrogen, the effects of different parameters on the quality of the cut surface and the hardening of the surface layer are presented. In the case of specific plate thicknesses, the cutting costs are compared. The discussion also deals with the technical possibilities of using hydrogen, which can be used to exploit the inherent advantages of CO2 regarding reducing emissions and maintaining a healthier environment.

Optimal choice of gas for laser welding: argon, nitrogen or forming gas?

Speakers: Balázs Varbai (BME Department of Materials Science and Technology) and József Ujvári (welding engineer, Messer Hungarogáz Kft.)

Shielding gases used in manual laser welding are a hot topic not only in Hungary, but also internationally. Recently, manual laser welding machines have been pouring into the country, and almost without exception, all manufacturers and distributors recommend nitrogen as a shielding gas for different materials and material combinations. In this block, we deal with the topic in two presentations; in the first, we share our own experiences with different argon-based shielding gases, helium, CO2regarding the effect of nitrogen in manual laser welding. The experiences gained in the application of different shielding gases, the effect on porosities, fusions and aesthetics will be presented. In the second presentation, we are looking for the answer to what effect nitrogen has on the material structure and mechanical properties during laser welding of various materials (structural steel, stainless steel, galvanized, aluminum).

Current regulatory events affecting welding and cutting
Speaker: Krisztina Wiegand, managing director, TÜV Thüringen Hungary Kft.

How are the currently valid regulations and legislation governing welding and cutting developing in the European Union? The managing director of the Hungarian subsidiary of TÜV Thüringen, an international testing, inspection and certification organization founded in 1866, talks about the standards affecting welding and cutting, and especially newer technologies, as well as the expected modifications and changes.

New lasers, new technologies: What possibilities do new lasers open up in material processing
Lecturer: Dr. Gábor Buza, Zoltán Bay Employed Research Közhaznú Nonprofit Kft.

In the 1980s, it was believed that “the laser is a new tool that is looking for applications”. First, the light output of the laser beam sources was increased, later the quality of the beam was improved, and then the wavelength was reduced. And the variety of applications is difficult to count nowadays. Many factors influence what the tools and technologies of the near or distant future will be, one of which is physical knowledge, which we can safely rely on.

The 4 worlds of Rabacsa and the highly automated 247Jobshop metalworking plant in an industry 4.0 environment Performer: Balázs Racker, managing director, Rabacsa Metalltechnik

Dating back to the 19th century, Rabacsa Metalltechnik combines old blacksmithing skills with the most modern technologies; they make unique wrought iron, stainless steel, aluminum, Corten steel and steel structures for the construction industry. In their intelligent factory in Szentgotthárd, production takes place in a fully controlled environment thanks to their own DMWSOFT software and Industry 4.0 technologies with the help of the latest automation systems, thanks to which the smart production of cut-to-size plates, pipes and complex components is available 24 hours a day. .

Váll-Ker success story: The power of fire is the warmth of the home – From slabs to top-quality fireplaces
Speaker: Balázs Szabó, managing director, Váll-Ker Kft.

Váll-Ker Kft., which is one of the largest fireplace manufacturers in Hungary, has been operating since 1992 and has since expanded its range with numerous technological innovations. The history of the company can be characterized by a continuous increase in production capacity and production volume, including wood-burning, pellet-burning and hybrid systems. Industry challenges, such as increasingly stringent emission regulations, required innovative solutions such as electronic air control and catalytic converters. Significant progress has also been made in the field of automation of production processes and quality assurance, so the company is able to satisfy customer needs to the maximum. The products are developed from the concept to the introduction of production in full compliance with European firing technology standards, using the most modern technological background.

Novelties and developments in the field of welding, cutting and additive manufacturing with regard to international trade fairs (Euroblech, Formnext)
Lecturer: Gábor Halász, welding engineer, Messer Hungarogáz Kft.

The novelties and interesting features of the EUROBLECH 2024 and FORMNEXT 2024 trade fairs will be presented. Among other things, the novelties of thermal cuts, arc welding and automation will be discussed. The latest developments in handheld laser applications (welding, cutting, cleaning) and the answers to safety technical challenges will be presented. In the future, the participants will be able to see a selection that covers the interesting aspects of metal additive manufacturing, from raw materials to special products through the novelties of additive technologies to production systems suitable for the mass production of large-volume products.
