New Ford Mustang: The legendary Mystichrome livery returns

In 2004 Ford offered a variant of the Mustang muscle car with a livery called Mystichrome. Offered for that year only, the Mystichrome version is now back as an option on the new Ford Mustang. That’s thanks to Ford-friendly aftermarket company RTR, which has brought back a new edition of the Mustang available in the legendary Mystichrome multi-color livery. This color-shifting prismatic paint, which made its debut 20 years ago on the 2004 Cobra, was first introduced ever on the Mustang Cobra of 1996 with the name “Mystic“.

The dynamic hues include blue, green, gold and purple, offering a unique visual spectacle. The production limited to approximately 1,000 vehicles made this livery extremely sought-after and expensive. However, as of July 29, it has been available again for the new Ford Mustang.
