DAPURPACUID – PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) presented a surprise ahead of the end of this year by presenting the latest generation of Honda Scoopy, which now presents various changes.
This refresh is claimed to strengthen the scooter’s unique and fashionable character, starting from the design as well as modern and functional features that can attract the attention of scooter lovers in Indonesia.
AHM President Director, Susumu Mitsuishi said, Scoopy is one of the most favorite scooter models in Indonesia because it has its own appeal for lovers of unique and fashionable scooters.
“Present since 2010, the Honda Scoopy has evolved a lot according to the trends and needs of unique and fashionable scooter lovers,” said Mitsuishi, on the sidelines of the launch in Cikarang, Tuesday (5/11).
“The changes to the appearance of the New Scoopy as well as the best features that can increase driving comfort are expected to further support the lifestyle of its users,” he said.
On the other hand, AHM Executive Vice President Director, Thomas Wijaya admitted, the development of fashionable lifestyle trends for young Indonesians is increasingly being highlighted in the new Scoopy.
This, he continued, is very in line with the New Scoopy which is present not only as a means of mobility but also as part of an expressive and attention-grabbing lifestyle.
“We hope that the presence of the latest generation of New Scoopy can provide even more pride for drivers who enjoy the lifestyle of being a trendsetter and being the center of attention on the road,” said Thomas.
One of the best-selling scooters in Indonesia
For more than a decade, the Honda Scoopy has continued to be in demand and has become one of the best-selling scooters in Indonesia, apart from of course the BeAT specifically for the 110 cc engine class.
Even though it has a strong retro style from the time it was launched until the latest generation, New Scoopy still maintains contemporary features to provide convenience to its users.
In terms of contribution, the Honda Scoopy is able to make a significant contribution to AHM sales. This model accounts for more than 20 percent of total sales, or about one million units.
“Scoopy’s contribution to us is very good, above 20 percent of total (sales), around 20 percent to 23 percent,” concluded Thomas. (dpid/TH)
