(Yeongdong = Newsis) Reporter Lee Do-geun = “I am excited to think about my children’s future in their new home.”

The new house of Lee (53), a couple from Shimcheon-myeon, Yeongdong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do, famous for being a family of nine siblings, was completed on the 19th.

At the completion ceremony on this day, about 50 people, including North Chungcheong Governor Kim Young-hwan, Yeongdong-gun Governor Jeong Young-cheol, County Council Chairman Shin Hyun-kwang, Chungbuk Development Corporation President Jin Sang-hwa, Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation Chungbuk Division Director Lee Hyeong-jin, Chungbuk Housing Welfare Cooperative Chairman Lee Seong-nam, and sponsor company officials, attended the ceremony to celebrate the new home of a family of multiple children. Congratulations on moving in.

Dadung’s new house was created with the interest of many people.

The old house where 11 members of the Lee family lived was a one-story, two-room house, but it was old and so narrow that it was difficult for the family to stretch their legs and sleep comfortably.

After hearing this story, the province began a new housing construction project in May together with the Development Corporation, Green Umbrella Foundation, and Housing Welfare Cooperative.

Village residents helped prepare a home site through a land exchange, and residents and local businesses continued to raise funds. Shinsung Architecture Office was in charge of the architectural design, and the construction was able to be completed thanks to talent donations and sponsorships from many local companies, including Hyundai Engineering, Won Construction, Myungmoon Construction, Namsun Aluminum, and Dasan Lighting.

Mr. Lee, the father of nine children, expressed his gratitude, saying, “I will raise them well so that they can become great adults.”

Governor Kim said, “It is a good example that can encourage North Chungcheong Province’s will to overcome the low birth rate crisis,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to create a good environment for raising children.”
