New Huawei foldable with three screens spotted in the wild, very thin

Huawei may no longer be a major smartphone brand, but they are happily developing. They are now developing a smartphone with a very large foldable screen.

The foldable smartphones have now been developed to the point where they are becoming thinner and more resistant to wear. I am currently using the Motorola razr 50 Ultra and can get used to the compact size of the device very quickly.

A foldable screen can go two ways. It can make a device very small, like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra. And it can make a device very large, like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the new Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Huawei is now testing a prototype that stretches the term “large” a bit.

Huawei folds screens like it’s nothing

Recently, a drawing surfaced about a new device to be developed by Huawei. This is a device with a foldable screen. That is not remarkable in itself, what is remarkable is that the screen does not consist of a folding seam with two screens, but of two folding seams with three screens.

This means that when unfolded, the screen would reach a size of no less than 10 inches!

On paper it seemed like a nice plan but Huawei also seems to be very far along in its development. Photos have surfaced of CEO Richard Yu using the device with the three screens.

Sitting in a public plane seat (he is not flying privately), Yu is comfortably relaxed with the huge screen in his hands. In another photo we see the device in a folded state. Here we see that the smartphone is definitely not thick despite the three screens.

Little else is known yet, but seeing this in the hands of Huawei’s CEO makes me happy. It could be the best hybrid between a smartphone, tablet and laptop. I can’t wait to try this out for real.
