DAPURPACUID – PT Kreta Indo Artha (KIA) has confirmed that it will present a refreshed version of its flagship SUV product, the Seltos, at the 2024 GIIAS event.
For Kia Seltos, this facelift is the first time since it was launched in Indonesia in 2020. The Kia brand holder agent in Indonesia said that the model has received a positive response.
This is thanks to the inclusion of a variety of complete comfort and safety features, as well as the use of a turbo engine which is claimed to produce capable performance.
Marketing & Development Division Head of PT KIA, Ario Soerjo said, Kia Seltos has become a pioneer of compact SUV with various different advantages compared to other models in its class.
When the refreshed model is launched at GIIAS 2024, the latest Seltos will be available in two engine variants, namely the Premiere 1.5 Turbo and Premiere 1.5.
“In addition to presenting a new engine option, the latest Kia Seltos also presents ADAS features and various modern comfort support features,” explained Ario, in his official broadcast, Monday.
Not only the engine, a new touch is also embedded in the design of the Tiger Nose Grille and the LED Star Map Lighting headlamp. The foot sector also gets a touch with the installation of 17-inch rims with a new design.
Meanwhile, in the interior, there is a Panoramic Sunroof that adds a spacious impression to the cabin when the curtain is opened. This component clearly strengthens the luxurious impression of the New Seltos.
Other changes are visible on the Panoramic Wide Display, namely a 10.25 inch full digital instrument screen with an infotainment screen that also measures 10.25 inches.
The modern and latest technological atmosphere is realized through the Head Up Display (HUD), which can provide additional information for the driver while driving.
Various other supporting features include 8-Way Adjustable Power Driver Seat and Front Ventilated Seat. There is also Dual Zone Auto Climate Control, Wireless Charging and Electric Parking Brake.
Meanwhile, the 1.5 Turbo engine variant is equipped with the ADAS active safety feature, which is claimed to be able to reduce unwanted risks when driving.
Fitur ADAS terdiri dari Smart Cruise Control with Auto Stop and Go, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist with Junction Turning, Lane Keeping Assist dan Lane Following Assist.
Lalu Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, Manual Speed Limit Assist, High Beam Assist, Safe Exit Warning, serta Driver Attention Warning.
For its engine, the New Kia Seltos Premiere 1.5 Turbo is equipped with a 1,500 cc Smartstream G 1.5 T-GDI engine, which on paper produces 158 hp and 253 Nm of torque.
Mated to a 7-speed Dual Clutch transmission, the above configuration on the New Seltos Premiere 1.5 Turbo offers a driving sensation like a sports car.
Meanwhile, the Premiere 1.5 variant adopts a 1,500 cc Smartstream G 1.5 engine, which is capable of producing 113 hp and 144 Nm of torque with an 8-speed IVT transmission.
The new Kia Seltos offers five attractive color choices, including Aurora Black Pearl, Gravity Gray, Sparkling Silver, Glacier White Pearl, and Pewter Olive.
KIA also provides a 7-year or 200,000 kilometer vehicle warranty, to provide a sense of comfort during ownership of the New Kia Seltos.
