In India, Maruti Suzuki officially presented the new, fourth generation of the smaller sedan Dzire, whose length is less than 4 meters.
More precisely, the length of the vehicle is 3995 mm, width 1735 mm, height 1525 mm, and wheelbase 2450 mm. The wheels are 15 inches, while the ground clearance is 163 mm.
Here is also the information that the volume of the trunk is 382 l.
In terms of design, the new Dzire has undergone significant changes. The compact sedan received a completely new design of the front part, with a large front mask, surrounded by sharp-looking rectangular LED headlights.
The rear gets Y-shaped LED elements in the taillights, with a chrome strip that runs across the tailgate and connects them.
The interior has also been modernized, and comes with a 9-inch touchscreen and a new steering wheel.
The equipment includes 6 airbags, ESP, ABS, EBD, cruise control, 360-degree camera (for more expensive versions)…
The new Dzire is offered with a 1.2 liter three-cylinder petrol engine with 82 hp and 112 Nm. It will also get a gasoline-CNG option with 51 kW/70 hp. A 5-speed manual gearbox will be standard, and an automatic will be optional.
Like the previous model, the new Dzire will compete with models such as Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze and Tata Tigor.
Prices in India range (converted) from about 8,000 to 12,000 US dollars.
Also, the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire scored five stars for adults and four stars for child safety in the Global NCAP test. Equipped with six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC) and pedestrian protection as standard, the new Dzire is the first Maruti Suzuki to score five stars in the Global NCAP test.
