The new Mini Cooper family has been supplemented with a Cabrio edition, which will be available at market launch with a choice of two engines and several equipment levels.
For starters, the soft top takes 18 seconds to open (15 seconds to close) and can be done at speeds of up to 30 km/h.
Depending on the position of the roof, the volume of the trunk ranges from 160 to 215 liters. The interior is dominated by an OLED screen with a diameter of 240 mm, while the head-up display projects relevant information into the driver’s field of vision.
You can also choose between three trim levels. Between the Classic, Exclusive and Sport versions, different 16- to 18-inch wheels and contrasting grille and brake caliper finishes are available.
There’s also an integrated rollover protection system hidden behind the headrest that activates as soon as the safety lock is engaged.
At the beginning, it will be possible to choose between the initial version of the Mini Cooper C Cabrio with a power of 120 kW/163 hp and 250 Nm (this version reaches 100 km/h in 8.2 seconds and can reach 220 km/h), while the Mini Cooper S Cabrio has 150 kW/204 hp and 300 Nm (accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and has a top speed of 237 km/h).
The new Mini Cooper Cabrio will be available in Germany from February 2025 at a price of 31,200 euros for the base version.
