Modefabriek fashion fair will not only take place at a new location next January, the fair will introduce even more news. “Innovation gives new energy,” said co-founder and creative director of Modefabriek Caroline Krouwels to FashionUnited.

The new design at Expo Greater Amsterdam in Vijfhuizen means, among other things, a new approach for the stands. “We have broken up the well-known grid of homogeneous aisles with semi-closed stands. We will be working with a modular system with much more variation, giving the exhibition an open, eclectic and dynamic department-store feel. Participants can give their own swing to the setup much more than before, while the new system still ensures uniformity,” says Krouwels.

There will also be more room for collaboration with The Fashion Gallery. This part of the fair will form ‘the stylish heart’ of the new Modefabriek. In addition, there will be long tables across the floor plan. These symbolize meeting each other again, the stock exchange reports. The message also mentions free coffee and a croissant. There is brief mention of a repair café. What has not changed are the various presentations and trend overviews.

“After 21 years in the RAI Amsterdam, that coat, no matter how beautiful and familiar, started to wear out. The concept slowly but surely lost its vitality, the bubbles were out, while the sector is already having a hard time,” says Krouwels. “We felt that, and of course our participants and visitors did too. And so we started looking for another beautiful central location, where we can design that new, fresh, updated Modefabriek. This set everything in motion.”

The next edition of Modefabriek will take place on January 26 and 27 at Expo Greater Amsterdam in Vijfhuizen.
