New films and series week 29 (2024): B&B Vol Liefde and The Bear
1. The Bear (season 3)
Yes, Chef! One of the most talked about series of the past few years is back with a third season. In this series you follow chef Carmy who wants to turn a sandwich shop in Chicago into a Michelin star restaurant. Even if he succeeds, the worries are not over yet. In the United States they already got the new season a few weeks ago, but that should not spoil the fun.
You can watch the third season of The Bear from Wednesday, July 17 on Disney Plus.
2. B&B Full of Love 2024
For many people, the television event of the year is not the European Championship, the Olympic Games or Eurovision, but B&B Vol Liefde. Dutch people who run a B&B somewhere in the world welcome singles in their search for love.
Tip: if you have a subscription to Videoland (or NLZiet), you can watch a week ahead. This way you are ahead of people who simply tune in via regular television.
You can watch B&B Vol Liefde 2024 from Monday 15 July on Videoland (or NLZiet).
3. Those About to Die
Anyone who has ever thought about the Roman Empire should pay attention, because in Those About to Die everything revolves around ancient Rome. The rich try to keep the people in line by organizing extravagant games, but is that enough? With none other than Anthony Hopkins in the role of emperor.
You can watch Those About to Die from Friday, July 19 on Prime Video.
4. Cobra Kai (season 6 part 1)
It’s time to say goodbye to the Cobra Kai series, the spin-off of the old Karate Kid movies. With this sixth season, the popular show will be concluded. But don’t worry, because this season will be extended nicely. The second part will not be released until November and in 2025 you can expect a grand finale event.
Cobra Kai season 6 premieres on Thursday, July 18 on Netflix.
5. My Spy: the Eternal City
In this sequel to the comedy My Spy, all the main characters return. In the original film, CIA agent JJ (Dave Bautista) protected a young girl. Now older and more independent, they must team up to stop a nuclear attack during a school field trip.
You can watch My Spy: the Eternal City from Thursday, July 18 on Prime Video.
