1. The Decameron

In the absurdist series The Decameron, a group of nobles lock themselves in a large villa, while outside the walls a deadly pandemic claims countless victims. With actors from Derry Girls, Arrested Development and Sex Education, this promises to be a hilarious series.

2. 2024 Olympic Games

The Olympic Games start in Paris this week. This year you can stream everything via HBO Max, without needing an extra sports package. You do need a subscription to the streaming service, but that can also be the cheapest version. The opening ceremony can be seen on July 26 at 19:30, but you can of course also watch it on the NPO.

3. The Holdovers

The film The Holdovers was nominated for several Oscars, including best picture. Now you can see why. The film is about a teacher at a boarding school who has to look after the students who don’t go on vacation. Then a friendship develops with a problem student.

The Holdovers will be on SkyShowtime from Saturday, July 27.

4. Elite (season 8)

Spanish series Elite is already in its eighth season. In this series you will get to know an exclusive private school where three poor students end up. In the latest series of episodes, two new characters are introduced who cause a lot of commotion at school. Enjoy it while it lasts, because this season concludes the series.

5. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare

Loosely based on a true story, Guy Ritchie’s film tells the story of the very first Special Forces mission, when a group of thugs are sent by Winston Churchill to fight the Nazis in the hopes of turning the tide.
