New Public Call and new Competition from the Ministry and the Provincial Government

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Serbia, through the Directorate for Agrarian Payments, announced a Public Call for submission of applications for the realization of the right to incentives for investments in physical assets of agricultural farms. This invitation refers to the establishment of multi-year production plantations of fruit trees and hops for the year 2024. Requests can be submitted in the period from October 2 to 17, 2024.

Incentives are focused on the procurement of fruit tree and hop seedlings, as well as on other investments related to land preparation and planting, including tillage, digging pits, planting and procurement of certified substrates for blueberries and raspberries. Also, the funds are intended for soil analysis, which includes chemical analysis and examination of the mechanical composition of the soil in order to recommend the best solutions for soil fertilization during planting.

Incentives can be realized for new plantings that were raised in the fourth quarter of 2023 or in the first and second quarters of 2024. On the other hand, strawberry plantations can also be planted in the third quarter of 2024. The condition for submitting a request is that the investment be fully realized between January 1, 2023 and the date of submission of the request, while investments in supports and related elements in plantations where the support was not installed in the first year can be realized until June 30, 2025.

The highest total amount of incentives per user in one calendar year is 3,000,000 dinars. Competition, in more detail

In addition, the Provincial Secretariat for Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry announced a Competition for the co-financing of the costs of introducing and certifying the safety and quality system of food and products with geographical origin for the year 2024 in AP Vojvodina. The goal of this competition is to constantly improve the safety and quality of food and animal feed, while increasing overall safety in the food system.

The funds are intended for the co-financing of the costs of preparation of studies for obtaining the designation of geographical origin and laboratory analyses. Part of the funds is intended to cover the costs of control and certification of agricultural and food products with geographical origin. Also, the competition covers the costs of introducing and certifying various food safety and quality systems. This includes standards such as ISO 22000, GLOBALGAP, HALAL, KOSHER, and others.

A total of RSD 1,000,000 has been earmarked for this competition, and the funds co-finance up to 70% of the investment costs, minus the amount of VAT. The minimum amount per application is 30,000 dinars, while the maximum is up to 300,000 dinars. Applications can be submitted until November 15, 2024.
