New Tony Hawk for the 25th Anniversary of the Series? There’s Something About It!

A week ago, we wrote about a possible surprise that Activision would prepare for fans of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series. However, we had no other clues apart from changed graphics on social media. Now, Tony Hawk himself has lifted the veil of secrecy. Could something big be coming?

The Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series of games has gained a huge fan base all over the world. The game owes its success mainly to the first two installments, which have become a classic computer game. By the way, not so long ago they were refreshed, thanks to which they can once again enjoy popularity, even among younger players.

As 2024 marks the 25th anniversary of the release of the first game, some are expecting some kind of special surprise from Activision. Now we know there’s something to look forward to. Tony Hawk himself has revealed that something is in the works.

Will Tony Hawk return in a new game?

Will it be a new computer game? Unfortunately, we don’t know. Tony Hawk is sworn to secrecywhich we understand perfectly well. On what awaits fans of the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series in the near future, he could only say this:

I wish I could say more. I can only say that I’ve been talking to Activision again. We’re working on something. It’s something that the fans will truly appreciate.

New game or another remaster? Or maybe something else?

What could be the surprise that Activision and Tony Hawk are preparing for players? It’s hard to say at this point. It could be a completely new game, which players would welcome with the greatest joy. Unfortunately, such a scenario seems rather unlikely. Perhaps the next installments of the skateboarding game will be remastered, or maybe nothing. The cooperation could just as well concern, for example, some event related more or less to games published by Activision.

Personally, I would like to play a completely new game in the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series. I am very curious to see how a concept developed 25 years ago would work well in a modern edition. Although it is still unlikely, I hope to find out.
