New Toyota RAV4 2025, everything we know

The sixth generation of Toyota RAV4 could be shown to the public for the first time during the 2025. Platform based TNGA-K it could be completely new on an aesthetic level and equipped with new on-board technologies, both from the point of view of the infotainment system and the systems ADAS.

Not yet knowing a certain debut date, here is a preview of everything we know today, remembering that it could arrive in Italian dealerships during the 2026: therefore there is still time to be able to purchase the current generation.

The new Toyota RAV4 has yet to be seen in public, not even in disguised form prototype pre-production, so its design still remains a well-kept secret.

Having said this, in any case we do not expect the company to move very far from the latest generation currently on the market, which was and still is a true best seller and has clean and simple linesdesigned not to age very easily.

And precisely following this philosophy, the same one used recently by the Japanese company, our colleagues at Motor1 US have imagined in this rendering the next generation of RAV4, inspired by the Tacoma and Sequoia models (large SUVs) currently on sale in the United States.

Looking at these images, we hypothesize, therefore, that just like them, the new RAV4 will have a larger grille, trapezoidal in shape, with a vertical front band flanked by tall and thin headlights. Furthermore, the more squared style could then also be reflected in the part rearwhere the new slim tail lights could wrap around the new rear hatch, the latter with a much more design traditional compared to the current generation.

Just like the exterior, we don’t know what the new one will be like either passenger compartmentwhich however, and strictly speaking, should follow the layout established in the other recently presented Toyota models, therefore with a large central screen, a digital display for the infotainment system and many physical buttons.

Just like the current generation, the new Toyota RAV4 will most likely be hybrid onlyin particular with the 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, combined with one or two electric motors to have both front-wheel drive only and all-wheel drive AWD-i.

Together, then, it will almost certainly continue to be offered in version too Plug-In Hybridequipped with an enhanced version of the 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, combined with the two electric motors mentioned above, powered, however, by a larger and rechargeable battery pack: perhaps with a greater capacity than the current one from 18,1 kWh.

Toyota RAV4 2025, the price

As with all new cars, the price of the next generation Toyota RAV4 could increase by a few hundred euros, a figure which however should not distance the overall value of the car from that of the current generation, which today in Italy has prices starting from 41.500 euro for the full hybrid two-wheel drive version.
