New weapon from Poland seen in Ukraine. It's 2S1 Gvozdika

According to Andrzej DudaPresident of Poland, Ukraine was to receive over 1,000 tanks of various types from our armygun-howitzers, armored vehicles and other vehicles for the fight against Russia. Now it turns out that among this equipment there were also self-propelled howitzers 2S1 Gvozdika. This is not a big surprise, because we are talking about very good equipment, but the good news is that they are still in service and are praised.

Polish self-propelled howitzers 2S1 Gvozdika military analysts from the Defense Express service have spotted them on front-line recordings. Not only do they take part directly in battles with the Russian occupier, but Ukrainians also train intensively on them. This is evidence that the Ukrainian Armed Forces still have a large fleet of these weapons.

Interestingly, we know for sure that this is equipment supplied by the Polish army as part of one of the aid packages. This is indicated by the painting intended for the Polish Army.. All aid packages are being kept secret for obvious reasons. It is not officially known how many 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer sets Ukraine may have, but it is said that it could be 70 pieces.

It is possible that Ukrainian soldiers are trained with the intention of receiving free or purchasing additional dozens of these devices from Poland. Our army had about 200 of them before the war, and they are now being replaced by Korean Aramto-howitzers. Although they do not offer a huge firing range, with standard ammunition, which is very important for the Ukrainians, we have only 15 kilometers here, the Ukrainians can use better shells and use these howitzers, for example, on the territory of Russia in the Kursk region, where this range is fully sufficient.

The Polish Gvozdikas are currently to be used by the 154th Independent Mechanized Brigade. The 2S1 Gvozdika is a 122 mm self-propelled howitzer. Over 10 thousand of these weapons were produced between 1971 and 1991. It is based on the MT-LB transporter chassis. The Gvozdika’s range is about 15 kilometers using basic ammunition. Its rate of fire is a maximum of 5 shots per minute. Carnation is used by dozens of countries around the world, including Poland, Ukraine, Finland, Belarus and Russia.
