New ZDF series about FC Bayern starting this week

A new five-part documentary series on ZDF looks at the highs and lows of the so-called “FC Hollywood” in the 90s.

Lothar Matthäus, Jürgen Klinsmann, Mehmet Scholl, Mario Basler and Stefan Effenberg are just a few of the prominent voices that ZDF is announcing for its new series “FC Hollywood – FC Bayern and the crazy 90s”. As the public broadcaster reports, the five-part documentary wants to show FC Bayern in failure, in chaos, in funny and dramatic moments.

When does “FC Hollywood” start on TV and streaming?

From January 10th you can stream the series in the ZDF media library. On the following Friday (January 17th) at 10:30 p.m. and on January 18th at 12:25 a.m., ZDF will also show the documentary linearly on television.

“FC Hollywood” portrays FC Bayern Munich from 1996 to 2001 with its scandals and success stories. In addition to the prominent footballers and all sorts of archive material, journalists such as Reinhold Beckmann, Patrizia Riekel and Marcel Reif will also have their say, as can be seen from the announcement. A first trailer for the series is already out ZDF media library available.
