“I know this will be my last World Cup, my last shot, my last chance and I will do everything I can to play in it,” the 32-year-old forward, who has not played for Brazil before, told CNN for more than a year.
He also said in the interview published on Tuesday that he would not rule out a reunion with former Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez at American club Inter Miami.
“Obviously, playing with Messi and Suarez again would be incredible,” Neymar said, according to AFP.
Brazil struggled in the World Cup qualifiers in South America. After 12 of 18 rounds, Brazil sit fifth in the 10-nation group. The top six teams are guaranteed World Cup places, with Brazil five points ahead of Bolivia.
