Nightwish singer Floor Jansen collaborates with Testament on their new album

Veterani thrash metal, Testamentare working hard on a new studio album, the first since 2020 and extremely praised Titans Of Creation. In a recent interview, the singer Chuck Billy revealed that the band will be expanding their sound in a number of ways. These changes include a song that is quite unusual for their standard style, and as a special guest, they will be joined by the frontwoman Nightwisha, Floor Jansen.

“On this album, I won’t say it’s a ballad, but we wrote a slower song like we used to do in the eighties and nineties,” Billy tells AMFM (according to Blabbermouth). “She will be phenomenal. Floor Jansen from Nightwish will sing with me. We will include a string orchestra as well.”

Leisurely? Orchestral? With Floor Jansen on vocals? Testament he certainly does not play it safe even after a four-decade career.

“We’re not afraid to take risks, even though a lot of bands will criticize you for that,” he adds. “But you know what? In this part of life and career, we write first to make ourselves happy and to do what feels right. And this song just feels right now.”

The new Testaments album is expected in 2025 Nuclear Blast-and. In a review for Titans Of Creation of 2020, Metal Hammer’s Dom Lawson stated, “Testament have never sounded harder or more committed to crushing everything in front of them… Although veterans, on Titans Of Creation they sound like a cohesive and focused team, determined to destroy the world.
