Nikola Tesla Airport will expand the terminal building until 2027

“Nikola Tesla” Airport in Belgrade is planning a significant expansion of the terminal building, which should be completed by the start of the specialized exhibition EXPO 2027. The project foresees the addition of three new exits to wing C, which has already been expanded recently, as well as four additional parking spaces for airplanes .

The total area of ​​wing C will be increased by 18,353 square meters, bringing it to 45,298 square meters, according to EX-YU Aviation.

The airport expansion project has already brought increasing the total area of ​​the building by an additional 39,300 square meters, reaching a total of 93,651 square meters. During this phase, the number of exits was increased by twelve, bringing the total to 31, while the number of aircraft parking positions was increased to 38.

In parallel with the terminal expansion works, the airport is also introducing new commercial contents. Additional food and beverage establishments, as well as new stores within the terminal, are expected to open.

Work has also begun on installation of e-gates for automatic passport controland sixteen e-gates should speed up passport control by as much as five times. Due to these works, capacity in the area of ​​passport control has been temporarily reduced by around 25%, as several existing cabins have been closed to make room for the installation of new technologies.
