Nikon continues to enrich its line of mirrorless cameras with the Z50 II.
With the new EXPEED 7 processor, the same technology that powers the flagship Z8 and Z9 models, the device promises improvements in performance and image processing functions.
Processor with 3D tracking options
If the first Z50 model was appreciated for its performance at an affordable price, the new one takes it a step further by integrating the EXPEED 7 processor, which allows a wide ISO range from 100 to 51,200, and an advanced autofocus system with options 3D tracking.
The camera can detect and track subjects such as people, pets, vehicles, birds, and even motorcycles or airplanes, giving you a wide range of options for dynamic photography.
With a resolution of 20.9 megapixels, the camera’s DX sensor captures clear and detailed images stored on a UHS-II SD card.
Extended video capabilities
For video content creators, the model offers filming in 4K resolution at 60 fps.
The Hi-Res Zoom function allows digital zoom without loss of image quality.
Furthermore, the camera includes a 10-bit N-Log mode and a waveform exposure monitor, making it easy to precisely adjust the scene for professional shooting. The Z50 II also offers a review mode for products, automatically focusing on objects that appear in the foreground.
Customize with the Picture Control button
One of the most innovative elements of the Z50 II is the dedicated Picture Control button, which allows quick access to up to 31 pre-loaded color presets.
Thus, users can experience different tones and color adjustments in real time. With Nikon Imaging Cloud, photographers can download unique presets called “Imaging Recipes” or even create their own color recipes for a distinctive style.
Modern connectivity
On the connectivity side, the camera offers a number of modern options, including a micro HDMI port, microphone input and headphone output, along with UVC/UAC compatibility.
The electronic viewfinder with 1000 nits of brightness ensures clear visibility in all conditions, and the fully articulated LCD screen allows for effortless filming and selfies.
An affordable investment for enthusiasts
Nikon Z50 The II will be available for $909.95 for the body only, with kit options that include the Nikkor Z 16-50mm and 50-250mm lenses, going up to $1299.95.
This promises to be a promising choice for photography enthusiasts and content creators alike.
