Nilu hypecar with V12 naturally aspirated 1,085 hp engine

Sasha Selipanov, the Russian designer who headed the design department of both Bugatti and Koenigsegg, has unveiled the hypercar he is preparing for his brand, the Nilu27.

The car is called Nilu and will make its first public appearance at Pebble Beach on August 15. It features a naturally aspirated V12 6,500cc engine mated to a 7-speed manual transmission, and features doors that open upwards. Its frame is carbon monocoque combined with aluminum tubular subframes.

The engine is a Hartley Engines creation, has an 80 degree intake angle and according to Nilu27 “will rev like an electric motor. The special thing about the engine is that the throttles are located on the outside of the engine, with the exhaust exiting from the top in a “hot V” configuration.

The 12 into 1 exhaust is made from Inconel and is 3D printed, with the engine producing 1,085 horses at 11,000 rpm and 860 Nm of torque. The car weighs 1,200 kg and has an electronically limited top speed of 400 km/h.

The box has a “comb” layout and inside the Nilu, touch screens shine through their absence. There are four instruments in front of the steering wheel and the only screen there is the one that replaces the center mirror. The seats are fixed, with the steering wheel, pedals, headrests and mirrors all manually adjustable.

It is equipped with pushrod suspension with double wishbones, while it wears 20″ and 21″ single-bolt rims with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires, with carbon-ceramic brakes, created by Brembo.

Initially, the company will build 15 Nilu that will be able to be driven only on tracks and will be followed by another 54 that will be able to be driven on public roads.
