The ninth season of Ninja Warrior Germany is in full swing! Who was able to secure the final ticket on the Endless Ladder to Heaven? Who is one round ahead? sport.de looks back on the third preliminary round broadcast.
In the first six shows, the Ninjas first determine who will make it to the semi-finals. Around 40 participants start on the course in each program. The best 13 ninjas advance to a round. The two best athletes in each show also make it safely to the semi-finals.
In the ninth season, the ninjas can for the first time choose between a hanging and a balance obstacle on the course and are therefore faced with the so-called “split decision”.
Whoever has the buzzer in front of them at the end has to decide between the wall 2.0 and the mega wall 2.0. In contrast to previous years, the Mega Wall 2.0 is significantly curved and the run-up is shorter than usual. The “Curved Mega Wall” is celebrating a world premiere at Ninja Warrior Germany. Whoever beats them is richer by 5,000 euros and a semi-final ticket.

The showdown at the Endless Ladder to Heaven
Four finishers, four candidates on the Endless Ladder to Heaven: Herny Lorenz, Giovanni Ertl, Joel Mattli and Sandro Scheibler secured their place in the final.
In the end, Scheibeler prevailed with a top time of 16.12 seconds. Lorenz (23.62) and Mattli (26.03) also mastered the endless ladder to heaven. For Ertl it was over at the seventh of 30 rungs.
Scheibler revealed on the RTL microphone that he had recreated the ladder to heaven in his home. He emphasized that a secure place in the final was more important to him than the 5,000 euros. “The money is a really great bonus. But having the final ticket (…) is just awesome,” commented Scheibler.

Hauser and Theilken are going strong
With Ronja Hauer (9th) and Ada Theilken (10th), two women made it into the top 13 in the third preliminary round show of Ninja Warrior Germany.
For Hauer, who is just 16 years old, it was her debut at Ninja Warrior Germany. The Austrian revealed on the RTL microphone that she was “definitely” a little nervous at the beginning. But Hauser didn’t let it show and has already achieved her goal in the semi-finals.
Herny Lorenz set the best time of the day with three minutes and 8.27 seconds. The “Curved Mega Wall” could not be conquered this time.
Sandro Scheibler has already secured his ticket to the final as the winner of the Endless Ladder to Heaven.
Herny Lorenz, Giovanni Ertl, Joel Mattli, Alexander Pandzioch, Leon Wismann, Moritz Schnippe, Milan Armengaud, Ronja Hauser, Ada Theilken, Jun Kim, Jonas Pichler and Leon Janek were able to qualify for the semi-finals in the third preliminary round show of Ninja Warrior Germany.
The obstacles in the course
The ninjas first had to get past the arrow jump and the pendulum trunk with cargo net. Whoever mastered the chime faced the “split decision”: bike path or dominoes.
Then there was the swing arm with rope labyrinth, the bungee boxes and the question: Mega Wall 2.0 or “Curved Mega Wall”?
