Nio slashes price of Onvo L60

In the middle of last May, Nio launched its new sub-brand – named Onvo – whose models put special emphasis on families, and the first of them is the L60. Its commercial course began a few days after its unveiling, with its price set – at the time – at 219,900 yuan (about 27,900 euros), significantly cheaper than the 249,900 yuan (about 31,600 euros) of the Tesla Model Y in China.

However, today Onvo announced a price cut for its model, adding the option of a monthly battery lease. More specifically, Chinese customers can pick up a brand new Onvo L60 for just 149,900 yuan (about 19,000 euros) and then pay a monthly subscription of 599 yuan (76 euros) for the 60 kWh battery and 899 yuan (114 euros) for the 85 kWh one.

Apart from these, however, Onvo announced that the basic version of the L60 with the 60 kWh battery is now priced at 206,900 yuan (26,270 euros), while the price of the largest one (85 kWh) starts at 235,900 yuan (29,950 euros) .

Nio has already opened over 100 Onvo stores across China to facilitate its growth, with projections to reach 200 stores by the end of the year. Nio’s CEO revealed that he expects monthly deliveries of the L60 to reach 10,000 units by December, with expectations to double that number to 20,000 monthly deliveries by next year.
