“NIS Agro card” – a new development

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management and the Oil Industry of Serbia (NIS) have reached an agreement that allows all registered farms to purchase diesel at a subsidized price of 179 dinars per liter until November 10, 2024, with the possibility of extension if market conditions permit. . To use this action, farms must have an “NIS Agro card”, which can be quickly obtained through the digital “NIS Agro card” mobile application. The agreed price of diesel for farmers is the result of the Decree on Limiting the Prices of Oil Derivatives. We remind you that this price was adopted by the Government of Serbia in July 2024. The aforementioned regulation allows all farms registered in the Register until April 1, 2024 to buy Eurodiesel at a subsidized price. This can be done up to a maximum amount of 100 liters per hectare, and at most for 100 hectares of land. The restriction lasts for six months from the entry into force of the regulation. However, the latest agreement with NIS enables one novelty. Namely, until November 10, all registered agricultural units, regardless of the date of entry in the Register, are entitled to a subsidized price. This additionally helps domestic producers in reducing costs.

This measure aims to support farmers in Serbia. We emphasize that this is important, given that the subsidized price of fuel can significantly reduce their production costs and help them face challenges in the market. By using these benefits, manufacturers can manage costs more efficiently, and digitalization of services further facilitates the process of applying for subsidies.
