This year marks the 40th anniversary of Nissan’s sports brand, a Nismoso it is more than stylish that one of their models will be available again in Europe in 2024 – although many would have been happy with a full-blooded gasoline model, the Ariya Nismo will start the line.
The Ariya Nismo was first presented as a study and later became a model for the Japanese domestic market, but it is a serious surprise that it will come to Europe as well. According to the promise, it will be available in all markets where the standard Ariya is available – according to them, also in Hungary.
We have to disappoint those who hope for extra performance, the powertrain of the all-wheel drive version equipped with an 87 kWh battery does not change, although 306 horsepower does not sound like a small amount, as does the 5.7-second acceleration from a standstill to 100 km/h.
The engineers focused more on drivability: they refined the chassis, modified the brakes, retuned the stability control system and all-wheel drive, and installed special tires.
This is accompanied by essential aesthetic modifications, improved exterior style features, red details spicing up the black interior, and particularly sporty seats.
Further details, including the exact date of introduction, are still pending from Nissan – even the design details shown in the photos published here are not certain to be exactly the same on the European model version. According to the promises, we can expect more precise information “even this year”, which in turn suggests that the car itself will not enter Europe until 2025.
