As was announced earlier this year, Nismo – Nissan’s brand synonymous with sportiness, is returning to Europe.
Customers will soon be able to purchase the stylish and sporty Ariya Nismo, the first all-electric Nismo model available on the European market.
The Ariya Nismo combines the heritage of the Nismo brand and typical Japanese design to create a dynamic, agile car with a bold personality and exciting performance, higher than the already excellent performance of the Ariya e-4ORCE 87KWh model.
Ariya Nismo is equipped with a series of technical and aesthetic exterior details that improve aerodynamics and driving fluidity, increase downforce and stability at high speeds and evoke emotions on the track.
Mayra Gonzalez, Divisional Vice President of Marketing and Sales, Nissan Europe, states: “Nismo returns to Europe with a new and improved version of the Ariya. As we move towards the electrification of the Nissan range, it is essential that we continue to offer products that delight our customers. The Ariya Nismo strikes the perfect balance between the instant, smooth acceleration of an electric car and the attitude of a sports car, resulting in an exceptional vehicle for everyday driving.”
The Ariya Nismo features a number of important technical improvements developed with Nismo support and engineering quality. The result is a car with strong acceleration, but smooth even at high speeds and easy to control in any situation thanks to the optimized VDC (Vehicle Dynamic Control) system and high-grip tires. The Nissan e-4ORCE 4WD system has been further improved to ensure more efficient distribution of power and torque to the four wheels and to maximize performance.
Ariya Nismo combines ease of handling with high cornering stability typical of sports cars. Driving precision is further improved by the specific adjustment of the braking system, which guarantees a shorter stopping distance in all weather conditions, as well as by modified suspension.
There are also 20-inch alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport EV 255/45 R20 tires.
The interior is also designed to offer a superior and exclusive experience, with black upholstery decorated with red accents and special Nismo seats, reminiscent of Formula E cars and guaranteeing maximum comfort.
Ariya Nismo has 320 kW/435 hp and 600 Nm, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is 5 seconds.
Regarding the dimensions, the car is 4655 mm long, 1850 mm wide (with mirrors 2172 mm), 1660 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2775 mm.
Sales in Europe should officially start in January 2025.
