For this year’s SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nissan announces the promotion of an extremely modified version of the Frontier pickup, designed for drifting.
The unique Frontier Tarmac pickup truck comes complete with fender flares, front spoiler, new hood, modified suspension, supercharged engine and Recaro seats.
The Frontier Tarmac is a collaboration between Nissan and Forsberg Racing, led by drifting legend Chris Forsberg. The base is Frontier PRO-X and it took six months to realize the project.
The Frontier Tarmac kept the 3.8 liter V6 engine, but Nissan added a supercharger so it now has an additional 130 hp and 160 Nm of torque, for a total of 440 hp and 542 Nm.
The package also includes rear-wheel drive, Nismo calipers, tuned suspension and a modified interior (carbon fiber steering wheel, front Recaro seats covered with retro upholstery).
