Nissan Nismos Return to Europe, Including Italy

40 years after his birth NismoNissan’s sports division, is preparing to return to Europe. And it will do so in a new guise: the model that will inaugurate the return will in fact be the Nissan Ariya Nismo435 hp version of the Japanese electric SUV.

This is an absolute first for the high-performance department of the company, which has never before worked on an electric car. The specifications are very respectable: beyond the increase in power, in fact, there are 600 Nm of torque and a 91 kWh battery.

Not just horses

For the Nissan Ariya Nismo But it’s not just about having engines – one per axle, to give life to the four-wheel drive e-4ORCE – capable of pushing it to speeds never touched before. It is also a question of mechanical modifications: increased braking system, modified set-up and a special driving mode – called Nismo – to squeeze the most out of the powertrain.

Naturally, it is also changing the aestheticscomposed on the outside by new 20″ alloy wheels, specific aerodynamic appendages, red profiles and a sporty interior with wraparound seats.

The European debut of the Nissan Ariya Nismo, already seen at the last Tokyo Motor Show, is expected for the Formula E Grand Prix in London, scheduled for July 21, 2024.

We don’t know if the Ariya will be joined by other Nissan models under the Nismo banner. Perhaps the new Qashqai, Juke and Leaf.
