Nordea to be responsible for responsible equity investments of a US pension fund

Financial Group Nordea has been chosen to be responsible for equity investments emphasizing responsibility of a US pension fund. Managed by Nordea California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS):in the value of the fund is 450 million dollars.

“We are honored that CalSTRS has chosen us to manage part of its equity portfolio that emphasizes responsibility. For more than three decades, we have successfully developed solutions that offer attractive returns in the long term, and at the same time promote positive effects in society”, Nordea Asset Managementin manager Nils Bolmstrand says in the announcement.

“Nordea has been a valuable partner for us as we strive through ownership management to achieve a net zero emissions portfolio by 2050 at the latest,” CalSTRS investment director Kirsty Jenkinson shapes.
