In a week – November 25, 2024 an exceptional event will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Bratislava Norwegian ITAPA Day – From research to changewhich takes place within the conference Autumn ITAPA 2024. The event focuses on the latest innovations in the field healthcare, environment a technologies and offers a unique opportunity for experts from Slovakia and Norway to meet, exchange experiences and discuss the latest trends that shape the future of these areas.
Norwegian ITAPA Day – from research to change is a one-day event focused on healthcare, environment and technology. This event brings together APEL, University of Bergen a Norwegian Institute for Air Research (NILU) at the bilateral Slovak-Norwegian conference, which creates a unique opportunity to use the strengths of these three important institutions.
Norwegian ITAPA Day 2024 will include a series of lectures, panel discussions and interactive workshops focusing on several key topics:
Main topics of the event
1. Norway – the land of opportunities – Norway is a leader in the digitalization of healthcare, advanced medical technology and environmental innovation. It will be discussed how cooperation between Slovakia and Norway can contribute to solving global challenges in the field of health. Mária Dušinská (NILE) a Mihaela Roxana Cimpan (University of Bergen) will share the latest knowledge and experience from the Norwegian sector.
2. Health and innovation in Europe – i.etheme that focuses on the challenges and opportunities of digital health in contemporary Europe. Alexandra Misci Hudecová (NILU) will introduce the topic Good laboratory practise (GLP) as part of innovation processes.
3. Environmental monitoring and its impact on health – environmental and human biomonitoring are becoming key tools in the fight against environmental threats. Experts like Sivakumar Murugadoss (IN), Mária Dušinská (NILE) a Erika Halašová (Jesseni Faculty of Medicine in Martin) will discuss how innovative technologies can improve disease prevention and public health protection in relation to environmental factors. The importance of environmental and human biomonitoring lies in their ability to identify potential risks to human health and the environment. Early warning of environmental threats can lead to disease prevention and public health protection.
4. Bio and nanomaterials in health care – are breakthrough technologies in medicine and personalized treatment. Ivan Rios Mondragon a Markus Sakari Miettinen from the University of Bergen will present the latest research in this area, which can significantly change the approach to the treatment of various diseases. The challenges of putting these materials into practice and their safety compared to traditional materials will also be discussed. Within Norwegian day results in this area from the Norwegian University of Bergen will be presented. The subsequent discussion of 3 experts – Mihaela Roxana Cimpan (UiB), Ivan Rios Mondragon (Uib) and Oliver Štrbák (Martin Center for Biomedicine) will focus on the main challenges in introducing these innovative materials into practice.
Event Norwegian ITAPA Day 2024 – From research to change will close with a key VIP workshop, where the main topic will be the possibilities of Norwegian-Slovak cooperation.
Workshop participants will have the opportunity to delve deeper into the question bilateral cooperation in the field of research, technology and innovation between Slovakia and Norway and to discuss specific opportunities for joint projects in these areas.
