Nothing Ear (open) headphones debut

The Nothing Ear (open) are Nothing’s first open-ear wireless headphones, with an on-ear design and silicone hooks for support. They retain the company’s signature translucent design and are designed for all-day comfort and environmental awareness, without active noise cancellation. The headphones feature external speakers and the Sound Seal System, which reduces sound leakage for better privacy. They weigh 8.1 grams and are dust and water resistant (IP54), as is the charging case.

The Ears (open) have 14.2mm guides coated with titanium and connected via Bluetooth 5.3 with the ability to connect to two devices at the same time. Each earpiece includes two microphones and Clear Voice 3.0 technology for better call quality, while controls are pinched to play music, control volume and manage calls.

Like the company’s previous models, the Ear (open) works with the Nothing X app, allowing EQ, controls and software to be updated. They also support Find My network, a low-latency feature for gaming, and built-in ChatGPT connectivity, which requires a Nothing Phone device.

The 64mAh battery offers 8 hours of playback, while the 635mAh case extends the overall duration at 30 hours. Charging is via USB-C only, no wireless capability. The Ear (open) are available in white and cost €149, with pre-orders from today and release on October 1st.
