Nothing from Serbia: Denmark goes to the quarterfinals of the League of Nations

Tanjug/AP

Serbia failed to achieve the much-desired victory against Denmark in Leskovac, which would have brought them the quarter-finals of the League of Nations.

The “eagles” looked in good spirits and ready to rally, however, the goals, and therefore the victory, were missing.

Until the unfortunate injury, Dušan Vlahović was the most cheerful name on the field, but the ball did not want to go into the goal.

This means that Serbia finished the competition in the elite in the third position in the table and will have to fight for survival against one of the second-placed teams from the B division.

Also, Serbia missed the chance to be seeded in the draw for the World Cup in 2026 and will wait for its rivals from the second “hat” for the trip to the USA, Canada and Mexico.
