Honda has officially introduced the new Passport to the US market, with the company describing it as its “most adventure-ready SUV and the most capable Honda SUV to date.”
As stated, the new Passport gets a “powerful 3.5-liter V6 engine” (with 285 hp and 355 Nm of torque), a 10-speed automatic transmission and an I-VTM4 four-wheel drive system.
Modified suspension, improved braking system, wider wheel track, longer wheelbase (+ 71 mm) and shorter front overhangs are also mentioned.
Also, with the new look of the exterior comes a more modern and spacious cabin with the latest features and technology (10.2-inch digital screen for the driver and 12.4-inch infotainment screen, Bose audio system with 12 speakers).
Honda will offer the Passport in three trims (RTL, TrailSport and TrailSport Elite), each with unique styling cues. The Passport RTL features a black fascia, black trim, silver front and rear guards and 18-inch wheels with 31-inch all-season tires.
The TrailSport and TrailSport Elite feature metallic silver accents, a gloss black fascia, gloss black detailing and orange hooks, as well as higher ground clearance and 18-inch wheels with General Grabber all-terrain tires.
Honda will offer the Passport in eight colors, two of which (Sunset Orange and Ash Green Metallic) are exclusive to the TrailSport.
