November 19 means, internationally, Men’s Day, marked including in Romania*.
It has already become a tradition to highlight those men who inspire and, through their personal examples, bring about change in the community. And this year, those men are presented that the public considers successful, as it emerged from the opinions expressed by thousands of Romanians.
“Male success”, a complex concept
The top of successful men in Romania emphasizes the impact they have on the community and society. It’s not just about financial or professional achievements, so we’ll never just have a list of those who have amassed impressive fortunes. However, we will have – as was the case in every edition and as it is this year – a highlighting of those who have left their mark on society in a significant way through their actions and values.
“Male success” no longer means only power or influence, but has become a complex concept that includes professional ethics, social responsibility and contribution to the cultural and economic development of the communities of which they are a part.
Figures from diverse fields – such as technology, culture, education, business and sports – deserve to be recognized for how they have transformed their industries and inspired future generations.
Successful entrepreneurs (for example: Daniel Dines, co-founder of UiPath) have shown us that success can also be built in the home country. Moreover, they put Romania on the international map of innovation.
Highly rated artists loved by the younger generation have built impressive careers, but have also used their voices to support important causes, mobilizing youth and influencing social change. An example is Tudor Chirilă.
True success also comes with the responsibility of giving back to the community. We will see many of these men dedicate their time and resources to supporting charitable initiatives, improving education, or creating equitable environments for all. Whether it is donations for hospitals or social projects that bring concrete benefits to people, such actions are essential for a developing country.
These are the men who deserve to be watched, supported and applauded for their active role in building a better society.
The top of the year 2024 is a varied one, in which you can find journalists, writers, singers, athletes or businessmen.
Thus, in the top 10 we find Alex Nedea, the investigative journalist from Recorder, the actor Sebastian Stan, whom we could see recently on the big screens in the role of Donald Trump, the writer Mircea Cărtărescu or the coach of the national team of football, Mircea Lucescu. Tudor Chirilă, Smiley, Hagi or David Popovici are not missing from this year’s top.

How was the top made?
On site barbatidesucces.ro a survey was conducted, where the most successful men in Romania were voted in 2024. The survey was opened, without a list of recommendations, and in total, between September 15 and October 15, 2024, 5,377 voted of people. All those who voted participate in the draw for the campaign prizes, which consist of 100 Nivea Men kits and the grand prize – a stay for two people in Poiana Brașov, at Ana Hotels.
“TOP SUCCESSFUL MEN” is an online market research conducted by the market research agency BrandBerry for Days and Nightsthe top being presented by NIVEA MEN.
* Internationally, since 1999, November 19 is celebrated as International Men’s Day. Since 2016, the Romanian Parliament has voted to celebrate Men’s Day in Romania as well, along with March 8, decreed as Women’s Day (Law no. 22/2016 declaring March 8 as Women’s Day and November 19 as Men’s Day).
The goals of this day include raising awareness of men’s health, improving gender relations, promoting gender equality and presenting male role models.
