November is getting IRIDESCENT

The international festival of contemporary dance and other reconfigurations of the sensible begins. The festival brings, for the first time, to Bucharest, relevant performances spotted on the international scene of the performing arts.

Amidst all the tensions and conflicts there is a subtle force that can bring us together: the courage to look at our vulnerabilities and move with them into territories not yet imagined. Movement, the body and the choreography of ideas give us the energy and inspiration to imagine new worlds. Better worlds, more generous spaces, warmer and more human gestures.

In November it’s time to (re)discover the transformative power of dance and ideas within IRIDESCENT international festival of contemporary dance and other reconfigurations of the sensible. Come and see 10 international contemporary dance and performance shows presented for the first time in Romaniaguided tours and dance workshops.

In the context of the celebration of the 20 years of existence of the Bucharest National Dance Center, IRIDESCENT reached its third edition. IRIDESCENT is where dance, emotion and ideas can revolutionize, build and imagine better futures, all starting from an iridescent present where diversity in all its spectrum is truly valued.

During the month of November, you have the opportunity to explore more than 20 events that will take place both at the National Dance Center, the organizer of the festival, and at the Bucharest National Theatre, the Odeon Theater or CINETic.
