The project of building a Youth Cultural Center with a square in Novi Pazar recently won recognition at the 33rd International Salon of Urban Planning in Bijeljina. The authors of the project, Emir Asćerić and Mihajlo Čukanović from the Public Enterprise Zavod za urbanism Novi Pazar, won second place in the “Urban projects” category.

According to the proposed solution, the building will be free-standing and will cover a total gross area of 6,592.31m2while the above-ground part will occupy 4,815.26m2and an underground garage is planned. The planned number of floors of the building includes a basement, ground floor and four floors.
The youth center is designed as a multifunctional space with three key units:
- Librarywhich will serve as a cultural and informative space;
- Center for Dual Education with accommodation facilities such as hostel rooms;
- Restaurant with kitchen.

Recognition at a prestigious salon
International salon of urbanism, held in the organization Association of urban planners of Serbiais an annual platform for the presentation of the most important projects in the field of urban planning and development.
They were selected at this year’s event 144 papers from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro and North Macedonia.

Youth centers
In April 2023, the Ministry of Tourism and Youth concluded contracts on the establishment of youth centers worth 180 million dinars with the management of the city administrations of Niš, Subotica, Sombor and Novi Pazar.
It was then announced that it would be built in Novi Pazar one of the largest youth centers in this part of Europewhile in Nis, Subotica and Sombor the existing spaces will be adapted into youth centers.
