The man from Novi Sad who recycled the most in the previous month using recycling machines at five locations in the city was awarded a bicycle donated by the Coca-Cola company and he is one of a total of 20 awardees, announced the City Administration for Environmental Protection.
The winner of the bicycle recycled 2,862 pieces of packaging, that is, he collected so many points, the administration stated.
It is about a campaign carried out by the company “Sekopak” and the City Administration for Environmental Protection.
In addition to the bicycle winners, four residents of Novi Sad each received two bluetooth speakers and headphones, while other gifts include tickets to the pool at Spence or one of the cultural events in the city.
As specified, the project “Novi Sad recycles smartly” is being implemented with the aim of improving the system of primary selection of packaging waste and raising citizens’ awareness of the importance of environmental protection.
Citizens who want to recycle and thus participate in the prize draw have five recycling machines for packaging waste at their disposal: on the Belgrade Quay, on Trg Slobode near the Apolo Center, in front of the Novi Sad City Assembly, in the Chinese Quarter near the Factory and at the main entrance to Štrand beach.
Types of waste or packaging that can be disposed of in the recycling machine are PET and aluminum packaging.
