Now see Reels Views directly in the video

In the Reels tab, the first users can call up video insights in the middle of the video screen and see the current view number next to it.

A few months ago, Instagram introduced views as a metric for all formats. This takes into account a development that sees video content as the focus of platform development. Reels Views at first glance

Social media expert Lindsey Gamble reports via Threads that the first creators can see the number of views directly when viewing their own videos in the Reels tab. These are displayed next to the shortcut “View Insights”, which is currently still visible to us without the view count display.

If the feature is rolled out to more users soon, creators will receive immediate insight into performance. This is entirely in line with the optimization efforts on the platform. Instagram recently tested on-screen Reels tips for this purpose, for example. Many of the current video updates should please the creators, as will a view like this. However, Instagram’s confirmation that video quality when played on the platform is related to the performance of videos recently caused anger.
