Nutrition: what are the 5 new products at McDonald’s, available until mid-February?

This is not a scoop: to take care of your health and your figure, it is better to avoid eating too often at McDonald’s. Because the hamburgers, desserts, fried foods, drinks… that we find there are generally too fatty, too sweet, too salty and/or too rich in food additives!

New products often too fatty and/or too sweet

On the occasion of the next Mercato (for those uninitiated to the art of football: this is the period when clubs recruit or entrust their stars and promising talents), McDonald’s is offering 5 new products until February 17 2025. We decipher them for you:

Le Double Big Mac. A giant hamburger that consists of four (!) grilled hamburger steaks, bread, cheese, salad, pickles, onions and sauce. With its 734 Kcal, it still provides 37% of the recommended caloric intake for the day. It is particularly rich in fat (16 g of saturated fatty acids per product), but also in protein (44 g, or 88% of the recommended daily intake).

Le Mcflurry Pistachio. This frozen dessert is covered with a pistachio topping and contains pieces of crumble. Unsurprisingly, it is a real sweet bomb with 44 g of sugar per product. Remember that the World Health Organization (WHO) recommends a sugar consumption of 25 g per day per adult…

Two new sugar-free drinks to try

Mcfizz green apple flavor. A “fruity and tangy” drink that consists almost entirely of crushed ice. It provides almost no calories (1 Kcal per product) and has a NutriScore B. Try it without feeling guilty!

McFlavor® Fries Melted Cheddar & Crispy Onions. Fries topped with fried onions and covered in melted cheddar. With nearly 580 Kcal per portion, but also 6 g of saturated fatty acids (i.e. 30% of the recommended daily intake) and 1.7 g of salt (28% of the RDA), it is a pleasure to be reserved for exceptional occasions. …

Coca-Cola® Sugar Free Oreo. A classic sugar-free Coca-Cola®… but with “the deliciousness of Oreo cookies” as well. A surprising mixture which provides less than 2 Kcal per serving and which has a NutriScore B. Why not!
