Nutritionist says sausage can only be eaten at certain hours

Nutritionist Mukhina named a safe portion of sausage

And no more than twice a week.

Russians were reminded of the dangers of sausages and told how often they can be eaten without harm to health.

Nutritionist Mariyat Mukhina advises those who are not ready to give up processed meat products to consume them in small quantities. “The sausage may contain soy protein, as well as mechanically separated meat, which mainly involves cartilage, horns, hooves and skin,” she said in an interview with “Moscow 24“, adding that the composition contains preservatives that extend the shelf life of the product, but are carcinogenic.

The doctor of medical sciences noted that sausage, due to the abundance of salt, increases blood pressure and increases the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases. In addition, the product contains a huge amount of fat and cholesterol, which leads to vascular disease, heart attack and stroke, Mukhina warned.

She allowed the consumption of sausage, but in limited quantities – no more than twice a week, in portions of 50 grams and only for breakfast. When eating sausage in the morning, excess salt will be eliminated during the day, the nutritionist concluded.

Earlier, Mukhina named a tasty product that will improve vision and protect the thyroid gland.
