Nvidia partner spilled the beans about the timing of the GeForce RTX 5090 announcement

During a special livestream hosted by Pichau’s YouTube channel, viewers were able to watch an 11-hour session featuring numerous guests. One of the particularly interesting guests was a representative of the Brazilian office of Inno3D, a partner of Nvidia, who inadvertently let slip about when to expect the announcement of the new GeForce RTX 50 series video cards.

The friendly atmosphere of the livestream encouraged viewers to ask about the next generation of GeForce graphics cards. An Inno3D representative at one point said that the RTX 5090 (the flagship video card of the new series – editor’s note) will become available in three weeks. After this, the Inno3D employee corrected herself, clarifying that the card will officially debut at CES 2025 in January.

“At some point during the broadcast, YouTube viewers began asking about the upcoming RTX 5090. A representative from Inno3D, apparently unknowingly and without malice, read one of the viewer’s questions and replied that the RTX 5090 would be available “in just three weeks.” . This caused a strong reaction in the chat and among the presenters. Realizing her mistake and trying to correct the situation, the company representative “corrected” herself, saying that the RTX 5090 will only be officially announced at CES 2025 in January,” one of the viewers of the broadcast told the VideoCardz portal.

While not an official confirmation, it does suggest that Inno3D could receive the RTX 5090 within three weeks, possibly in pre-production samples for testing rather than for sale. As VideoCardz notes, pre-production samples are typically distributed to regional offices for promotional and training purposes to ensure staff are familiar with the new product before its official release.
