Richard Ashcroft, the former frontman of The Verve, will join the Gallagher brothers for the long-awaited Oasis reunion concerts in 2024, writes Sky News.
Oasis have announced that Richard Ashcroft will be the special guest on the band’s UK and Ireland reunion tour. The former Verve frontman will perform alongside Liam and Noel Gallagher in concerts scheduled next year in cities including Manchester, London, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Dublin.
In a statement on social media, Ashcroft said: “As a fan from day one, I was extremely excited by the news of Oasis’ return. Noel’s songwriting talent and Liam’s pure spirit as a frontman have inspired me to create some of my best songs.”
Ashcroft, known for hits such as Bitter Sweet Symphony and The Drugs Don’t Work, added that Oasis’ Live Forever made him “try to write his own music”.
The Oasis reunion tour kicks off on 4th July 2025 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.
