The police have arrested Asaduzzaman Hiru, the accused in the murder case organized by the anti-discrimination student movement. Hiru used to introduce himself as ‘adopted son’ of Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader.
Gulshan police officer-in-charge (OC) confirmed the matter on Thursday morning. Touhid Ahmed.
He said, ‘Asaduzzaman Hiru, who provided money against the anti-discrimination student movement, embezzled money under the umbrella of Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader and identified himself as Quader’s adopted son, was arrested in a case filed at Badda police station on August 5.
Based on secret information, the special team of Gulshan police station arrested him from Gulshan area and handed him over to Badda police station.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Badda police station in this regard. Saiful Islam said, ‘Asaduzzaman Hiru will be handed over to the court with a request for remand.’
