Pay close attention, pensioners, because the Minister of Labor has announced the date on which the pensions for the month of December will be transferred. We already know that December 1 is a public holiday. But when does the money reach the beneficiaries?
Simona Bucura-Oprescu also spoke about the payment of pensions from December. According to the minister, the pensions will be transferred one day late, from December 2.
They are aimed at pensioners who are waiting for their pensions through the Romanian Post.
On the other hand, pensioners who collect their pension by card will have to wait longer.
Specifically, the delivery of pensions will be made starting from December 12 in the case of people who collect their money through a bank account.
It looks like there won’t be as much of a delay as rumored.
What will happen to pensions in January?
The minister also communicated, among other things, that pensioners are to benefit from a new increase in January 2025, in accordance with the legal provisions in force.
According to the law, pensions are indexed annually in January, following the removal of the threshold of 9.4% of GDP, which would have meant freezing the rights of the elderly for a long period.
This means that the value of the pension point will increase by more than 12% in January 2025, from 81 lei to approximately 91 lei. Persons receiving the minimum pension will also benefit from this increase, which will increase from 1,281 lei to 1,414 lei.
We’ll see if AUTHORITIES will bring additional clarifications, but also how much money pensioners will finally receive, given that each calculation is individual.
Pensions December 2024. Who are the Romanians who could get two PENSIONS
Pensions from December 2024. 200,000 pensioners could benefit from two pensions in December. The officials of the Pension House also explained why the seniors will collect more money.
The retirees who find themselves in this situation are those who have not yet obtained the settlement. If their files were resolved by the end of November, as the pension house claims, in December at least 200,000 pensioners could receive two pensions, the one for the current month and the outstanding ones.
At the same time, all the people who signed up for the pension on September 1 are not getting their money because they don’t have the software. These people risk not getting their money until February.
Many had their employment contracts terminated and ended up penniless. Since September 1, pensions have increased, on average, by 620 lei.
Regarding the problems of Romanians who requested a pension under the new law and have not yet received a decision, Daniel Baciu offered explanations exclusively for Romania TV viewers:
“We have files, the new beneficiaries have applied for the pension. Here we have to find urgent solutions to receive their pension rights. We set up a task force at the Pension House – specialists from the territorial pension houses, specialists from the maintenance company. From Monday, this task force begins its duties. We are starting to test the new computer program that calculates the pensions of those who have requested this right starting on September 1. We have a week to complete these tests. We are testing the more complex, more difficult files, so that after completing this testing process, which is not easy at all, the computer program can be put into production and we can start calculating the pensions of those who submitted the files starting on September 1. Let’s hope that in the next period people will receive their pension rights”.
