Official! TV series “300” is coming

In the past, rumors said that the 300 by Zack Snyder they will get a prequel tv series. Now, Snyder confirms that the project is moving forward. He, in fact, specifically stated:

“We’re getting ready to dive in and start working on it. It’s a lot of fun, I love the people. Even in the preliminary meetings we had and we were talking about ‘What if this or that happened’, it’s a lot of fun to say ‘Wow, that’s a rich model.’ It’s similar to Twilignt of the Gods in a weird way. In terms of there being multiple subjects.”

The 300 TV series will reportedly be a prequel, possibly following them Spartans led by King Leonidas before going to war with Xerxes. The original film, of course, focused on a group of 300 Spartan soldiers who went into battle against the much larger Persian army led by Xerxes I. The 300 all died in the end, during it battle of thermopylae, but they took with them many more Persians. A sequel to the film, 300: Rise of an Empire, was released in 2014 and served as a prequel, interquel, and sequel to the original film, chronicling how the Spartans faced the Persians at the Battle of Artemisium and the Battle of Salamis in the Greco-Persian Wars.
