The slightly naughty Fifty Shades novels and films became so popular in the 2010s that Hollywood gave the green light for a joke-twisting comedy about them. Unfortunately.

Sub is showing Fifty Shades of Black starring Marlon Wayans, which was released in 2016.

In the comedy directed by Michael Tiddes, wealthy businessman “wealthy businessman Christian Black meets a young and inexperienced literature student, Hannah Steale, and they begin a hot but strained relationship. Hannah’s lustful roommate, Christian’s well-endowed brother and the brothers’ racist adoptive mother take part in the bad mood.”

As the trailer below shows, Fifty Shades of Black is downright awful, and you can quickly spot that too from Rotten Tomatoes. The film’s freshness rate is only four percent on the critics’ side. On the side of the general public, the figure is not too strange either (19%). IMDb:ssa the grade on a scale of 1-10 is only 3.5/10.

Fifty Shades of Black starts on Sub at 21:00. We recommend finding something better to do.
